Vehicles in German Town Found Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police reported they were notified by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau marked with red-colored substance

Roughly 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Cars, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement state they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a individual observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.

The liquid had been applied in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Police then located numerous other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement state initial examinations show the fluid was likely blood from a person.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; officials are not yet aware of any harm in connection with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to solve the case" and have appealed to the residents for details.

An important representative commented the incident made him speechless and required to be addressed quickly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the right-wing violent incident half a decade ago," he stated on social media, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a assailant aiming at individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
